Title: IT Project Manager

End Date: 6 to 8 month assignment

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and oversee a critical project involving the migration of our finance, payroll, and HR data into a new system. This position is a 6 to 8 month assignment, and the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the end-to-end project management of our system migration, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Build a schedule with milestones, coordinating resources to ensure all needed resources are available to accomplish tasks. Establish a project schedule with critical path identified and resources allocated, when the resources are available (maintaining a calendar with block out dates and resource availabilities identified. Track progress to ensure the project stays on schedule. Report project progress to management and the Board.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our internal team, TVA, and the selected vendor to coordinate efforts, address challenges, and ensure project success.
- Training: Develop and implement a comprehensive training plan for our staff, ensuring they are fully equipped to use the new system effectively.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and regular communication with all stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Problem Solving: Anticipate potential obstacles and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring the project stays on track.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, particularly in system migration projects.
- Strong understanding of finance, payroll, and HR systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with vendors and managing external partnerships.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
