TVA’s STEM Award Program for science, technology, engineering and math education is now open for applications through Sept. 15.

For the third consecutive year, the program will provide $1.5 million to fund STEM learning projects in classrooms and schools in TVA’s seven-state service area. The program is sponsored by TVA in partnership with BVI.

“We know that today’s students will shape the future of the Tennessee Valley region,” President and CEO Don Moul said. “Now, more than ever, we want to support and encourage STEM education – a career in STEM will provide good opportunities for students and ensure our region’s workforce is prepared to provide energy security for the next generation.”

Last year’s program awarded $1.5 million to schools across the Valley region. More than 132,000 students were impacted by the 342 awards provided during the funding in 2024-25 cycle.
