THE INCUMBENT PERFORMS TIER II/III SUPPORT FOR DESKTOP COMPUTING HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, AND MIDDLEWARE APPLICATIONS.

PROVIDES TIER II AND III PRIMARY SUPPORT FOR DESKTOP OPERATING SYSTEMS, HARDWARE CONFIGURATIONS, AND SYSTEM INTEGRATION.

RESPONSIBLE FOR INTEGRATION OF VARIOUS PLATFORMS TO ENSURE NETWORKING INTEROPERABILITY AND CONNECTIVITY.

RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RESEARCH, EVALUATION, TESTING, AND IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL DESKTOP ADP TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS.

RESPONSIBLE FOR WORKING WITH OTHERS TO IDENTIFY DESKTOP STANDARDS, AND DEVELOPING AND DOCUMENTING MIGRATION PLANS AND INTERFACES.

PERFORMS PROBLEM DETERMINATION AND PROBLEM RESOLUTION ON ESCALATED REQUEST FOR SERVICE.

PERFORM HANDS ON PROBLEM/SYSTEM ANALYSIS, TROUBLESHOOTING, PROBLEM RESOLUTION, REMOTE ACCESS, AND DIAGNOSTICS OF HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE (INCLUDING DATA COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS) UTILIZING TVA STANDARD TOOLS.

DEVELOPS SCRIPTS AND PROGRAMS FOR OPERATING SYSTEMS. PREPARES, EXECUTES, AND EVALUATES THESE PROGRAMS FOR SYSTEM PERFORMANCE AND IMPACT.

PROVIDES CONSULTATION TO OTHER IS ORGANIZATIONS AND CUSTOMERS TO DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE SOLUTION TO THEIR BUSINESS PROBLEM OR BROKERAGE TECHNICAL SUPPORT FROM OTHER IS ORGANIZATIONS.

CONFIGURES HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, AND DATA COMMUNICATIONS SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE TO PROVIDE A COMPUTING SOLUTION; ADVISE THE CUSTOMER OF EXISTING SOURCES OF INFORMATION; OR DETERMINE THE MODIFICATIONS OR ADDITIONS TO EXISTING APPLICATIONS TO PROVIDE THE SOLUTION.

Education and Experience/Certificates, Licenses, and Registration Requirements/Other Requirements, BACHELOR DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, MATH, BUSINESS OR RELATED FIELD OF STUDY, OR EQUIVALENT EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. PROGRESSIVE WORK EXPERIENCE INCLUDING A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF CONSULTATION AND PRODUCT SUPPORT FOR END-USER HARDWARE, APPLICATIONS, SOFTWARE, SYSTEM SOFTWARE, AND DATA COMMUNICATION IN AN OPEN SYSTEMS, LAN-BASED, CLIENT/SERVER, WIDE-AREA NETWORK (WAN) ENVIRONMENT. DEMONSTRATED COMPETENCE IN CONFIGURING, INTEGRATING, IMPLEMENTATION, AND SUPPORTING END-USER INFORMATION SYSTEMS. IN-DEPTH EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING: TCP/IP; ENTERPRISE-WIDE MIDDLEWARE APPLICATIONS; COTS (LEVEL 3 SUPPORT); FORMAL RESEARCH AND EVALUATION OF END-USER PRODUCTS ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS; MOBILE/REMOTE COMPUTING TECHNOLOGIES; SUPPORTING MISSION CRITICAL SYSTEMS SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT SERVER; MICROSOFT EXCHANGE CLIENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE MUST BE ABLE AND WILLING TO ASSUME ON-CALL ROTATIONAL ASSIGNMENTS WHICH MAY INCLUDE 24-HOUR ON 7-DAY PER WEEK AVAILABILITY.

This is an onsite position with limited remote option. Candidate must live in the Greater Chattanooga Area.
