TVA’s employees, contractors and retirees are invited to make positive impacts to the communities and people we serve by volunteering throughout the month of May in honor of TVA’s 93rd anniversary on May 18.

“This year’s expanded Month of Service builds on the tremendous participation we saw last year during just one Week of Service, when 710 TVA employees and retirees served more than 3,800 hours at nearly 80 service events,” Althea Jones, Director of Public Engagement, said. “That enthusiasm and impact helped thousands of people across our service territory and encouraged the expansion to allow for more flexibility and increased participation.”
Across the Valley region, Business Units and teams are coordinating a wide range of volunteer opportunities. There are nearly 60 open opportunities available for participation, with additional activities to be added to the Volunteerism Tracking System (VTS) throughout the month.
How you can participate
- Visit the Volunteerism Tracking System (VTS) to find and register for activities.
- Consider coordinating a volunteer experience for your team. Be sure to log your groups hours in the VTS to ensure we capture your positive impact.
- Find helpful resources here and reach out to Trina Gallman on the Public Engagement team with questions.
Help tell our story of service: Share your experience and photos

Please keep in mind that shared photos may be used internally and externally to promote TVA’s mission of service. Throughout the month, we will highlight stories of employees and teams across the region contributing to the strength of our communities on TVA Today and social media.
