Consults management on complex initiatives. Provides oversight of budget planning, operational effectiveness and drives assigned projects to completion.
Leads or coordinates project planning for strategic business initiatives. Develops performance metrics to ensure projects are completed on schedule and align with strategic plans. Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct resources and resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
Leads strategic planning process for assigned business unit.
Evaluates existing business processes and implements sustainable improvements.
Researches best practices to initiate develop and recommend practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased efficiency and reduced costs.
Develops and implements change management plans including the development of training, communications, procedures and/or processes.
Provides counsel on business, political or regulatory issues impacting TVA.
May represent senior leadership on internal and external committees.
Performs additional assignments as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education — A Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or field of study directly related to the business unit supported. Advance degree desired.
Experience — 10 or more years in the utility industry or directly related to the business unit supported. Must include experience related to business operations, process improvement, project management and/or financial analysis.
Certification/License, etc — Lean Six Sigma, Project Management or related professional certifications desired.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — Ability to work with various levels of management and teams to accomplish benchmarking, business planning, and related initiatives. In depth understanding of business unit being supported. Must have analytical skills and be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements
