RESPONSIBILITIES – SUPPORT THE TVA FLEET LICENSE RENEWAL PROJECTS’ PLANT OPERATIONS GROUP WITH INTEGRATED PLANT SYSTEMS KNOWLEDGE.

EVALUATE PLANT OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR AGING RELATED IMPACTS TO THE INTENDED FUNCTIONS OF PLANT EQUIPMENT.

ENSURE THE TIMELY PREPARATION OF WELL-WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATIONS FOR SUBMITTAL TO NRC. THESE REPORTS MUST BE CONSISTENT WITH TVA POLICIES AND PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH TVA PROCEDURES FOR COMPLETENESS AND ACCURACY.

COORDINATION OF LICENSE RENEWAL PROJECT SITE ACTIVITIES WITH SITE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENTS.

SUPPORT OF NRC INSPECTION ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING INTERFACE WITH NRC INSPECTORS AND COORDINATION WITH AFFECTED PLANT DEPARTMENTS.

MAY WORK AS AN INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTOR OR AS A TEAM LEADER.

EDUCATION — BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN ENGINEERING OR A SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINE DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED.

EXPERIENCE — MINIMUM OF TEN YEARS NUCLEAR EXPERIENCE. FIVE OR MORE YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A LICENSED SENIOR REACTOR OPERATOR AT A PRESSURIZED WATER REACTOR (PWR). WESTINGHOUSE ICE CONDENSER PLANT EXPERIENCE DESIRED.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE, ETC — SENIOR REACTOR OPERATOR/STA CERTIFICATION OF LICENSE AT A PWR.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES — MUST HAVE PROBLEM ANALYSIS AND DECISION-MAKING SKILLS; GOOD ORGANIZATION AND PLANNING SKILLS TO EFFECTIVELY MANAGE DIVERSE TASKS AND PROJECTS. MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS TO BE ABLE TO EXPRESS COMPLEX IDEAS SUCCINCTLY AND CLEARLY USING DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES, AS NEEDED. CANDIDATE MAY BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A SECURITY CLEARANCE BASED ON POSITION / ACCESS REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS.
